Avenue of Life

Avenue of Life’s mission is to unite the greater Kansas City community in equipping and empowering low-income individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and long-term independence.

Their innovative programs include a mattress recycling initiative, which not only helps reduce landfill waste but also creates job opportunities for individuals reentering society after incarceration—giving them a second chance at life through meaningful employment and skill-building.

Native Lands Restoration Collaborative is a grant-supported initiative focused on restoring public lands through hands-on volunteer engagement and education. Their mission is to empower diverse land stewards to protect and revitalize resilient native ecosystems by fostering community knowledge and participation.
